Do, or do not - there is no try.

Remind me to have a couple coffee cups before trying to trouble-shoot the free version of Xen Server, this morning was a cyclical event consisting of creating and removing bonded ethernet networks, virtual networking and processing pools only to find the primary unit really wasn't happy with itself and a detach, attach to secondary, promote was the only way forward.
Not helped by being dragged off to chaperone potential new builders / architects / ICT managed service types around the site explaining silly points about the network. No one yet has asked any proper questions about integration, transition of services or operational support. Normally I'd be worried, but my CV is out there with a few companies, so hopefully I'll be out of here before one of these companies tries to Tupe me across. Lame manager quote of the week: "So, yeah - you won't have to worry, our ICT guys have state of the art kit". Oh that's ok then, as long as it's state of the art I don't mind what technology it uses, what brand it is, what options it does or doesn't come with or how much it's going to cost me. Oh, hang on - I lost all sense of reason there, I must have been distracted by the amount of verbal defecation floating out of the window there...
So anyhow, the network is up, the quotes to renovate are going in to the mix next week, I'm taking a long weekend off to recover from epic late night support last week and it's time to take a deep breath, calm down and recompose myself so that I'm not the jittering, wound-up, broken geek I have been for the past few weeks.
I might even reinstall the self-esteem module and restart the enthusiasm service.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!
Time for some film action with feet up and snacks and beer in hand I reckon.
